Our venture to Lucketts

We took the trip!

My helper and I ventured out to The Old Lucketts Store and we found everything from a leopard lounge bench to old fashioned donuts to a vintage tonka truck. It’s sufficed to say that our hunt was successful. We searched high and low for random pieces to incorporate into our home. We went aimlessly so that our likes and dislikes would lead us, not our guidelines. When vintage shopping, the perfect piece is out there, but having the freedom to envision it in your home  takes some practice. The more trips you make, the easier it will be to spot a piece that can seamlessly work into your style. If you find something you love, get it, it won’t be there forever. It may not work exactly with what you have, but it doesn’t matter, if you love, it will have a home. Some trips, I have walk away with nothing. I only get the pieces that move me. Don’t force it. Sometimes it’s just not meant to be, but…oh…when it is!
