Where there’s a will, there’s a way and after all my daydreaming of sand and ocean last week, I had to make it happen. Off I went to the beach and of course it was in the 60’s! I was raised in the sandy beaches of the South, where the water is almost never cold, especially not in June! The thing is, my closest getaway now is the beaches of the Northeast where there is a little more chill in the air for an early morning walk. After the sun is up and out, the water feels wonderful, but early in the morning, too cold for these southern bones.
So… this time, I got smart…Maniera Rain Boots! Um…Hello. I’m sure many of you have thought of this before. This is a first for me and making my experience so much richer. More time in the water and less time on the sand. I’ll do anything to keep my toes as close to the water as possible, once above 60 that is. These boots are amazing because they are lined with faux fur, so they were incredibly warm in the icy water and completely adorable. The handmade rubber is so soft that when I walked with the water across my feet, they felt weightless.
