Now that the weather is so warm, all I want to do is be outside. If you live somewhere where there isn’t a permanent outdoor space or a spot to call your own, you can always have travel seating in style. Here are some folding chairs that are great for soaking up some Vitamin D and a good choice to add interest to a drab deck.
If you have the luxury of permanence in your patio or deck, here are some mod options to catch any entertaining eye.

Have you ever seen an image a hundred times and never thought anything of it, then one day, for some reason, that same image sticks. This has happened to me. I saw an image of a black and white floor recently and now I have to incorporate it into my life.
I’ve decided I’m going to put it outside and do the quirky idea you see in the movies, make a chess board out of it. I want to create a functional patio though, not just one for game playing. I’m going to combine the patio surface and the game by painting it. This way the furniture can be placed on top of the board and moved to play. Now I haven’t wasted yard space for a board that will be used, maybe, 10% of the time.
The key to the success of the idea is light weight furniture that has an organic shape. This way, you blend the structure of the board with the natural elements that surround it. Here’s one piece I love.
